Who we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on, VP-level leader who can bridge business, product, and technology across Alpha and Middle Office platforms.

This role requires a strong domain-led technologist (12–15+ years) who can:

  • Translate complex business problems into clear, execution-ready outcomes
  • Drive end-to-end ownership of the requirements lifecycle
  • Apply data-driven thinking and modern tooling including AI-assisted workflows to improve speed and quality of delivery

The ideal candidate:

  • Operates effectively across business, product, engineering, and data teams
  • Focuses on outcomes over documentation
  • Has a bias for execution, simplification, and automation
  • Is comfortable working in fast-paced, global environments

What you will be responsible for

Business Analysis & Product Alignment

  • Partner with business, product, and operations teams to define and refine requirements for complex Middle Office platforms
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle: discovery, documentation, prioritization, and traceability
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Use modern tools including AI-assisted capabilities where relevant to improve requirement clarity, documentation, and analysis efficiency
  • Drive data-backed decision-making using SQL and platform insights
  • Act as a bridge between business and engineering, ensuring clarity and reducing delivery risk

Execution & Delivery

  • Provide leadership to BA and QA teams (onshore/offshore)
  • Drive standardization of SDLC and best practices across teams
  • Ensure execution of large, cross-functional programs with tight timelines
  • Embed early validation and automation mindset across requirements and testing
  • Work closely with engineering teams aligned to API-first, event-driven, and microservices architectures

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor teams to evolve from traditional BA roles toward product-aligned, outcome-driven analysts
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Encourage adoption of automation and smarter ways of working across BA and QA practices
  • Engage effectively with senior business and technology leadership

What we value

  • Strong analytical thinking with ability to break down complex problems
  • Ability to operate as a trusted partner, not just a requirements owner
  • Bias for execution and outcomes over process overhead
  • Leadership presence with ability to influence across global teams
  • High ownership and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear communication across business and technical audiences

Basic Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Financial Services Technology (Front/Middle Office)
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis roles
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions
  • Deep experience in Agile delivery (story writing, backlog grooming, traceability)
  • Strong data analysis skills (SQL) for validation and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Middle Office, Cash, IBOR, Trade Processing
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance productivity
  • Experience with event-driven systems, Kafka, APIs, and microservices
  • Exposure to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience driving test automation and QA transformation
  • Strong understanding of data reconciliation and downstream impacts
  • Knowledge of Swift MT/MX, ISO 20022

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Work Requirement

  • 3 days onsite
  • Flexible alignment with global teams (onshore/offshore collaboration required)

Salary Range:

$115,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
