Role:

The Business Accounts Manager plays a crucial role in driving the Credit Union's growth by identifying new business opportunities through building and deepening relationships with existing and prospective business account members and expanding market presence.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

25%

Research and identify new business account opportunities within Credit Union service areas by prospecting potential clients. Engage in outreach strategies such as outbound calling, email correspondence, and business canvassing to generate leads.

20%

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing business members. Serve as the primary point of contact in the member relationship, ensuring complete satisfaction and addressing any areas of concern or inquiry.

15%

Open and close Credit Union business membership accounts, certificates of deposit, and checking accounts. Perform routine maintenance and audits as necessary. Ensure all required documentation is collected and retained on file.

10%

Promote and research Credit Union products and services such as business depository products, merchant services, commercial credit cards, and digital banking avenues.

Work cohesively with other branch managers and the commercial lending department to ensure the financial needs of the business accounts are met with complete satisfaction. Generate both lending and account leads for respective departments.

Provide feedback on market conditions and business members' needs to inform on product or service enhancements. Provide regular updates to senior management on product opportunities.

Monitor and report on business account performance, tracking the progress of key business development initiatives.

Represent Revity Credit Union at various community sponsor events, actively engaging in community outreach initiatives, and vendor fairs.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Bank Secrecy Act:

Remains cognizant of and adheres to Revity Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Expectations:

1.

Develop relationships with existing and prospective business members to expand business depository accounts aligning with strategic growth initiatives.

2.

Serve as the liaison for Credit Union business members for questions, concerns, or needs.

3.

Represent the Credit Union within the community to develop new business and increase awareness. Attend community-based organization meetings to become more familiar with the service areas and prospective business members.

4.

Ensure the Credit Union remains current on industry trends for business account members. Recommend product enhancements, as necessary.

5.

Provide training and support on business account opening procedures for branch staff.

6.

Comply with all Credit Union policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.

7.

Maintains professionalism in accordance with credit union expectations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of business development experience securing financial services, banking products and/or business products.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, other related fields, or equivalent work experience.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong business development and relationship building skills.
  • Strong product knowledge and familiarity within the banking financial/services industry.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work outside of traditional business hours; nights and weekends as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products

Physical Demands:

This position frequently requires you to talk, listen, and use your fingers.

Occasionally, this position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds.

This position requires a close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing details on a computer terminal.
