Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
Job Summary We are seeking a responsible and reliable Van Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the necessary qualifications to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
Responsibilities - Supervise and assist students as they board and exit the bus, helping with any special needs or challenges. - Ensure students are seated and remain seated properly throughout the ride. - Maintain order and a positive atmosphere on the bus, addressing any behavioral issues in a calm and effective manner. - Assist the bus driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking for items left on the bus. - Attend to the needs of students with disabilities, providing a helping hand and ensuring their comfort and safety. - Communicate with school staff and parents as needed regarding student behavior, health, or other concerns.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience working with children, preferably in a school or childcare setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. - Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently. - Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
