BUS MONITOR
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
Provides for the safe operation of the assigned bus and control of the passengers while transporting to and from their assigned school, center, or school-related function
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain student discipline on the bus and refers serious infractions to the driver
- Provide assistance to individual students as needed
- Comply with school, system, state and federal regulations as related to job requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Participate in appropriate training, workshops and staff development activities and applies new information to the job
- Perform daily, routine tasks with little or no direction
- Accept challenges in a professional manner
- Relate to students, parents, and driver in a positive and professional manner
- Attend all required meetings or training sessions
- Assist driver with emergency evacuation drills as required
- Help driver maintain a clean bus as prescribed by local procedures
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL
- High school diploma or GED
- Complete any training required by the school district

- Positive references from previous employers
