Under general supervision of the administrator of the Transportation department, operates school buses on regularly scheduled passenger routes transporting students and school groups to and from schools, events, and on special field trips, in accordance with requirements of school transportation schedules and traffic laws.

Applicants must provide the Personnel Commission with a copy of the following at the time of application (you may upload the documents to your online application): Current three-year driving record (request a form "K4" at a local California DMV office or via mail request by filling out a California DMV INF 1125 form by visiting: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/forms/inf/inf1125). The K4 form should be dated within 30 days of submitting your application. Type-1 School Bus Special Driver Certificate with code 0, 1, or 6 restrictions (from DMV) Class A or Class B California Driver License with passenger endorsement or equivalent Current medical certificate approved by the DMV Current first aid card ONLY APPLICANTS WHO SUPPLY THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS WILL BE TESTED.
