The job of the Bus Driver is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions, ensuring the vehicle is in safe operating condition and ensuring the safety of students during transport, loading, and unloading from buses.
Responsibilities include:
• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior • Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents, and/or potential emergency situations • Assists students and other passengers • Attends meetings, trainings, etc. • Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior, conducts emergency evacuation drills • Drives school buses • Fuels assigned vehicle, e.g., oil, water, fuel, etc. • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc. • Prepares documents and reports, e.g., field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, etc. • Reports observations and/or incidents, e.g., discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc. • Responds to inquires, e.g., students, parents, other school personnel, etc. • Supervises students and other passengers during transit • Assists other personnel as may be required
Experience is desired. Full-time with Benefits - 25-40 hours per week. $19.40 Depending on Experience with a Certificate.
The District trains new bus drivers.

• Alcohol and Drug Test • Pre-placement Physical Exam • Criminal justice fingerprint • Background clearance • Random drug testing • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
