Requirements & Qualifications

GATEWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT CLASSIFIED VACANCY FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Bus Driver - Gateway Transportation Department

• 6.00 hrs/day - Split-shift
• M-F 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (unpaid mid-day break)

SALARY

• $23.15 - $33.94 per hr (Range K)
• Includes vacation factor
• 182 workdays
• 14 District paid holidays
• Includes contribution to a retirement system and access to health, dental, and vision benefits with District contribution.

License and Certificate Requirements

• Possession of a valid Class A or B California Motor Vehicle Operators License.
• Possession of a Valid California School Bus Drivers Certificate.
• Possession of a First Aid Certificate or Passage of the California Highway Patrol First Aid Test.
• Possession of a valid CPR card.
• Possession of a Medical Certificate (Form DL 51).
