Job Summary 2000 hiring incentive after completing 6 months of service. 2000 retention stipend for all school bus drivers who complete 75% of the school year.

Requirements Qualifications DMV Driver Record report within the last 30 days.

  • REQUIRED when applying. Valid School Bus Certificate - Type 1 Vehicle. Willing to provide certification class for qualified applicants who currently do not possess the School Bus Certificate. All persons selected by a hiring supervisor are subject to pre-employment testing and written verification of participation in prior drug testing programs.

Qualifications Valid Class B California Motor Vehicle Operators License. School Bus Drivers Certificate must be able to be insured and continue to be insurable by the Districts liability insurance carrier. Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. One year of experience in pupil transportation service or the completion of a school bus driver training program using safe driving practices. Knowledge of safe driving practices and procedures. Ability to maintain appropriate student behavior on a school bus. Learn the proper methods of bus safety inspections and maintenance. Handle situations with tact and diplomacy. Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
