POSITION SUMMARY:

The University of South Floridas Department of Plastic Surgery is seeking a fellowship-trained hand surgeon at the Assistant Professor level to join our growing plastic surgery team at USF/Tampa General Hospital (TGH)/Moffitt Cancer Center. Successful faculty candidates will be appointed in the USF Health Department of Plastic Surgery and provide care at one of the busiest hospitals in Florida. Candidates must be a physician and eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and must have completed a plastic surgery residency and a complex extremity/hand-focused fellowship.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate for the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  • Must meet criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor.
  • Board certified or board eligible (according to current requirements) by the appropriate American Board with added qualifications in Plastic Surgery.
  • Must hold or be eligible to hold a full unrestricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a member of the medical staff in good standing at the hospitals where he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position includes the management of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Outpatients may be seen at the University of South Florida College of Medicine Medical Clinics, and TGH sites. Complete clinical obligations such as chart completion, patient follow-up, finalize billing, etc.
