Our client is looking for a Burn Table Operator to join their team. Our client is a manufacturer of galvanizing kettles and related products to the continuous strip and hot-dip galvanizing industries. They manufacture specialty horizontal and vertical cylinders, tanks and DOT and ASME pressure vessels to transport pressurized gases and liquids in various capacities.
The Burn Table Operator will be responsible for properly cutting and bending all of the kettle plates used in production.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 2+ years exp. operating Burn Tables (CNC and Plasma).
- Ability to operate cranes is a plus.
- C-press exp. is a plus.
- Communication skills.
- Able to read a blue print.
- Be able to read a tape measure.
- Prior Oxy/Fuel table experience.
- Ability to transfer measurements from a drawing onto a steel plate in the form of a layout.
- Welding ability preferred (stick and MIG).
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read fractions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Cutting and bending all of the kettle plates used in production.
- Ensure that the cuts from the bends are done in the correct way to ensure final dimensions are accurate per the drawing.
- Move plates around with the assistance of a crane.
- Line the parts up, and use the controls to lower the press and form the plate until the plate is at the desired radius then release the press.
- Consistently lift and move parts up to 50lbs.
