GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Building Sanitation Attendant performs routine cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of an assigned facility, maintains supplies, and inspects buildings for repairs.
Job Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim and metalwork. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors. Cleans rugs, and carpets. Wash walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Set up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall. Maintains orderliness of supply room by placing articles in assigned areas. Inspects and disposes of litter from grounds. Inform supervisor of supply shortages and pick up supplies as instructed. Routinely inspects structure for needed repairs and reports any findings to supervisor. Completes required workorders and paperwork for assigned projects in a timely manner. Performs other duties, tasks, and services consistent with this position as assigned.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Building Sanitation Attendant I - This position does not directly supervise any individuals. Works under close supervision.
Building Sanitation Attendant II - This position does not directly supervise any individuals. Assignments received with set guidelines, organizes own work, and sets own processes.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
Building Sanitation Attendant I - High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of education.
Building Sanitation Attendant II - High school diploma, general education degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of education. Six (6) months of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
