Performs a variety of grounds keeping work to maintain the beautification of grounds surrounding the Salvation Army buildings; trims trees/shrubs, blows leaves and debris from sidewalks and parking lots; performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry repair work.

Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor pluming repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls.
Monitors lighting ad changes light bulbs when needed.
Performs preventative maintenance of Salvation Army vehicles.
Maintains the grounds to include blowing leaves and collecting debris; maintains the beautification of the grounds. Pressure washing sidewalks, porches and other areas on the campus.
Sweeps, vacuums, strips, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.
Paints benches and any touch up painting needed on campus.
Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc.
Drives truck to pick up materials and repair items needed for maintenance work.
Cleans surroundings after each repair job; ensures that all tools are collected, and surroundings are left neat and clean.
Maintains all tools, supplies, parts, and equipment belonging to the Maintenance Department.
Trash pickup from surrounding buildings on campus.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
License and Certification Requirements:
Valid state driver's license.
