Building Maintenance Technician

Braintree, MA


The Building Maintenance Technician supports the Property Manager in maintaining high-quality commercial office buildings by performing hands-on maintenance, responding to tenant needs, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and supporting a professional, service-oriented property environment.

Key Responsibilities

" Provide responsive, high-quality property maintenance that meets tenant needs and supports a professional office environment.


Building Operations and Maintenance

" Support daily operations for assigned commercial office buildings, including tenant and contractor coordination, hands-on maintenance, repairs, and related administrative support.

" Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other commercial building systems and components, including basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

" Assess and complete tenant work orders or recommend outside contractor support when needed.

" Perform routine building tasks, including climbing ladders to replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and similar components as needed.


Emergency Response and Seasonal Support

" Perform on-call duties and work overtime as required.

" Respond promptly to emergency situations.

" Participate in snow removal and related seasonal property needs.


Tenant Service and Safety

" Work closely with the Property Manager and contractors to support tenant satisfaction throughout the office suites.

" Identify, correct, and report safety hazards in a timely manner.

" Assist with incident documentation by gathering relevant information, speaking with tenants or individuals involved, following up as needed, and keeping the Property Manager informed.

" Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
"Perform other duties as requested.


Experience: Commercial building maintenance experience preferred; minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required, with HVAC systems experience a plus.


Salary: $75,000 $85,000, based on experience; starting range for 3 5 years of experience, with higher range available for 5+ years of experience.
