Job Description: In this role, you will manage the maintenance and repair of City facilities and supervise the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing facilities and grounds.
Examples of Duties:
- Conducts routine maintenance on systems of the facility such as HVAC, plumbing, minor carpentry, painting, etc.
- Refers major maintenance to the appropriate City division or vendor.
- Directs workers engaged in custodial and minor maintenance of the facility and surrounding grounds.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
Other Necessary Requirements:
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs.
