Job Summary
Building Lead Mechanic is responsible for maintaining grounds and general building maintenance of the facility. Responsible for electrical, plumping, carpentry and other maintenance news of all buildings and grounds. Building Lead Mechanic will provide guidance and training to other building maintenance team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily route building maintenance projects and tasks.
- Complete daily preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed in a timely manner.
- Apply knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work.
- Assist in the construction, alteration, preparation, and painting and repair to floors, walls and concrete.
- Maintain and repair:
- Building roofs, lockable hardware such as doors, automatic electric doors, windows, lockers and magnetic keying system to ensure safety of facilities.
- Plumbing and heating fixtures and components, piping of various size and type, check safety equipment and replace components such as washers, gaskets and filters.
- Respond to service requests.
- Operate lifts and material handling equipment as needed.
- Visually inspect and test items as needed.
- Perform project work as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
