Our Building & Grounds Custodian is starting at $18.00/hour. Additionally, this position is eligible for shift differential based on hours worked. Additionally, we are offering a $1000 Sign-on Bonus!
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with various cleaning tasks and small repairs as assigned by their supervisor to ensure a clean and healthy work environment for all employees maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, restocking supplies, and disposing of trash. Maintenance of clean-room floors using ULPA filtered clean-room vacuums and cleanroom approved mopping techniques. Maintenance of clean-room walls and fixtures using clean-room approved wall mops or wipes. Removal and disposal of regulated waste and general trash. Other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards with minimal supervision.
Conduct general housekeeping such as emptying trash, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and sanitizing buildings daily, including floors, restrooms, grounds, Clean rooms and common areas.
Process trash removal and manage corrugated scraps with a compactor and compact surplus corrugated boxes in baler.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures.
Maintain good communication with your supervisor and other employees.
Resupply any paper products needed in designated receptacles
Perform minor maintenance on buildings.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience
Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily
Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.
Ability to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed
Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants
Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas to identify potential opportunities and concerns.
Attention to Detail: Thorough in completing tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
Dependability: Reliable and punctual, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Communication Skills: Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$15.00 - $21.75 HourlyThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
