Job Title: Building/General Construction Technician
Location: Hicksville, NY
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr, W2
Duration: 3+ Month Contract
Summary:
Hours: Friday 12:00 pm – 09:30 PM, Saturday & Sunday 9:00AM to 07:00PM, three days a week, hours subject to business needs may increase.
Responsibilities:
Perform general construction tasks including carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, and minor structural repairs.
Conduct routine building maintenance and corrective repairs as required.
Install, repair, and maintain building fixtures, doors, walls, ceilings, and related components.
Support renovation and improvement projects across the facility.
Read and interpret basic construction drawings, layouts, and specifications.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, safety regulations (OSHA), and GMP requirements (if applicable).
Assist with troubleshooting facility-related issues and provide timely solutions.
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and external contractors as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
Document completed work and report any findings or required follow-ups.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
18 years or older.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in general construction, building maintenance, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
