The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, and New Hampshire Hospital has a Full-Time vacancy for a Building Cleaning Worker I-II. **Summary:** **Building Cleaning Workers I** To perform independent cleaning, custodial or janitorial duties associated with the care, cleaning, and maintenance of New Hampshire Hospital; may include assignment to multiple units, areas, or locations. **Building Cleaning Workers 2** To serve as a team or crew lead, and/or shift point person and to independently provide a full range of cleaning, custodial or janitorial duties associated with the care, cleaning, and maintenance of New Hampshire Hospital; may include assignment to multiple units, areas or locations. **YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:** Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. **Other information:** **Building Cleaning Workers I - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education/Experience:** 8th Grade Education **License/Certification:** None **Other Requirements**: None **Trainee Option:** Not applicable **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** - Knowledge of the methods and practices of cleaning services in a large complex, health facility, or building - Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services - Knowledge of quality standards for health, environment and safety - Ability to read and write and to prepare both written and oral reports - Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences - Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations) - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships - Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong - Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority **AFTER-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:** None **CAREER ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:** In-Band Advancement Available: No Broad Group Level Advancement Available: Yes Criteria: 37-2010BGA01 (Level 1 to Level 2) For promotion from the 37-2010 Building Cleaning Workers-1 job title to the 37-2010 Building Cleaning Workers-2 job title, the eligibility requirements in Personnel Rule 303.08 Broad Group Level Advancement must be satisfied, as well as the following criteria: 1. Is up to date on all mandatory in-house training 4.
