Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Building Attendant is responsible for supervising the use of Highlands Recreation District facilities during rentals and group activities. Essential Functions. Assist instructors and individuals who are using District facilities. Supervise group activities to maintain order and safety at all times, both inside the building and outside in surrounding grounds. Enforce timely beginning and ending of activities and/or rentals. Handle basic first aid/medical plems & routine facility plems such as bathroom clogs/overflows and beverage spills in the kitchen or activity rooms. Ensure renter receives supplies needed to clean the facility after use and returns tables and chairs to proper location. Maintain a cheerful, helpful, positive attitude when helping the public. Deal with conflicts or complaints in a positive, non-threatening way. Open and lock up buildings and ensuring cleanliness of facilities.
