Budget Analyst 2
SALARY: $52,920 - $59,844, with progressive step increases to $71,148
LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
The Budget Analyst 2 position is responsible for grant management, budget tracking, and analysis for various types of budgets (each with its own set of rules). This position provides support to budget managers across campus and works independently to ensure fiscal compliance, performing investigative work, and preparing invoices and reports regularly. This position assists with the fiscal aspects of multiple budgets from start to finish, maintaining accurate and detailed financial records to successfully close each budget at the end of the fiscal period. The Budget Analyst 2 position maintains financial stewardship at Edmonds College by applying knowledge of local policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and all federal and state laws.
This is a classified position reporting to the Director of Budgeting.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an office setting and requires using a computer and standard office equipment. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not a native language.
Semi-Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Work is performed at Edmonds College and in a variety of local settings.
Positions in this class typically require: operating a computer, communicating, observing and repetitive motions. Exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range 50. Beginning salary is $52,920 - $59,844 annually, with progressive increases to $71,148 plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 3 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).
