Our client is seeking a Director of Testing & Qualification to establish and lead a comprehensive testing, validation, and qualification organization supporting advanced energy technologies. This individual will be responsible for developing the company's testing strategy, facilities, personnel, and operational infrastructure while ensuring rigorous, data-driven validation of highly engineered products and systems.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead the Testing & Qualification organization, including organizational structure, staffing, and capability development.
  • Develop company-wide testing, verification, validation, and qualification strategies supporting product commercialization and risk reduction.
  • Lead complex hardware test programs supporting advanced power systems, thermal technologies, and future product platforms.
  • Establish test governance processes, procedures, standards, and operational controls.
  • Develop testing infrastructure, instrumentation, controls, data acquisition systems, and long-term facility roadmaps.
  • Oversee test planning, execution, data collection, analysis, reporting, and qualification documentation activities.
  • Establish data management systems ensuring integrity, traceability, and accessibility of technical information.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Executive Leadership to support development milestones and commercialization objectives.
  • Support future certification, licensing, customer, and regulatory testing initiatives.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in testing, validation, qualification, product development, or technical operations leadership roles.
  • Proven experience planning and executing complex hardware test programs in highly engineered industries.
  • Strong background developing test plans, procedures, instrumentation systems, and qualification methodologies.
  • Experience building and leading multidisciplinary engineering or test organizations.
  • Industry experience within power generation, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, nuclear energy, turbomachinery, or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with thermal systems, energy systems, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, or advanced hardware technologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience commissioning test facilities, establishing testing organizations, or supporting regulatory qualification programs is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments while balancing technical rigor with practical execution.
