BSW, Specialist, St. Louis

A non-profit organization is recruiting for a full-time permanent placement role. A Specialist is needed to make dreams come true for children living with critical illnesses.

This role requires a unique blend of project management, meticulous administration, family communication, and emotional maturity. The Specialist comfortably coordinates many moving parts to orchestrate a seamless experience for children. The ideal candidate will possess the warmth and professionalism necessary to guide families of children facing critical illnesses through the process, providing a compassionate experience while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Project & Timeline Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics of project fulfillment, behind-the-scenes coordination, scheduling, and timeline management.

• Vendor Coordination: Partner with external vendors to manage logistics and confidently request in-kind services from companies to offset project costs. Note: This is a coordination and negotiation function, not a direct fundraising role.

• Family Communication: Serve as a supportive, professional point of contact for families, navigating sensitive conversations with excellent customer service and emotional maturity.

• Administrative Excellence: Ensure strong follow-through by maintaining highly organized documentation and managing complex scheduling.

Salary Range $48,000-$52,000/annually, in addition to an excellent benefits package including health insurance, PTO, and retirement.
