As a Restaurant Manager for Ristoranté Brissago at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will coordinate the activities of the outlets staff to deliver quality product and service to restaurant customers.

Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. What will you be doing?

  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the outlet

  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings

  • Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments

  • Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services

  • Resolve problems to satisfaction of involved parties.

  • Organize special events in the restaurant

  • Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings

  • Control reservations in a manner that fully utilizes space but does not affect ability to provide quality service

  • Ensure food quality and service standards are met

  • Maintain profitability of outlet to support overall hotel operation

  • Control payroll and equipment costs

  • Utilize computer to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports, and write correspondence

  • Support the entire food and beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations, and marketing

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What do you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

  • Previous F&B management experience required, preferably in a destination restaurant or steakhouse environment

  • Fine dining experience required

  • Thorough wine knowledge preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong administrative skills

  • Professional demeanor

  • Ability to work well under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods

  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization in a professional manner

  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions

  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
