Are you detail-oriented and skilled in research? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team on a contract basis to assist with the Federal Bridge File Project. This exciting opportunity is based in Indianapolis, IN, and offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact. The project is initially set for six months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Compile documents to complete bridge files across the state.
- Utilize state business systems to gather necessary documentation.
- Conduct thorough research using "As Builts" records and collaborate with the Archive Department when needed.
- Convert hard copy documents to electronic files, including scanning and indexing.
- Convert existing TIF files to PDF format.
- Perform detailed audits of bridge files and document any anomalies.
- Provide written justification for incomplete files after thorough research.
- Record daily progress and create monthly report analyses.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive bridge documentation.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in researching and auditing files, with skills in digital conversion and organization.
- Knowledge of file conversion processes (e.g., TIF to PDF).
- Experience managing digital storage systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Preferences:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
