Brick Manufacturer Cell Operator - Full Time
We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Brick Manufacturer Cell Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will support the manufacturing of vitrified bonded bricks, sulfur‑filled bricks and stones, and cellulose materials. This position is hands‑on and fast‑paced, requiring accuracy, consistency, and a strong commitment to quality.
As a Brick Manufacturer Cell Operator, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and cleaning tunnel kilns and periodic kilns, as well as handling sulfur‑impregnated bricks and stones. You will test and stencil bricks that fall outside specification ranges and maintain sulfur levels in brick and stick pots. The role includes preparing materials by pulling components, weighing precise grain, bond, and binder mixtures, and operating mixers according to exact instructions. You will screen materials for pressing, maintain a clean mixing environment, and set up and operate brick presses while ensuring all brick dimensions meet ordered specifications. You will also install dies, cut and form materials for top punch and fill, and weigh and mix components for cellulose manufacturing. Troubleshooting machinery, building kiln cars, and performing quality control tests on nitrocellulose adhesive and binder are also part of the daily responsibilities. This position requires participation in an on‑call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions, apply common‑sense problem‑solving, and work effectively in standardized production environments. The position requires high‑school‑level math skills, including geometry and algebra, along with the ability to interpret charts, tables, formulas, and precision measurements. A forklift operator certification is required. Candidates should have at least one to three years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
This job involves regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, and grasping. You must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds frequently and more than 50 pounds occasionally, and you should be comfortable moving materials manually or with equipment such as hoists or hand trucks. Strong close‑range vision and the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships are essential. You will work with a variety of production machinery, mixers, presses, kilns, precision measuring tools, and basic computer systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, precision manufacturing, and being part of a team that produces specialized, high‑quality industrial products.
