Keep Every Cup Flowing

Farmer Brothers’ Revive Service & Restoration team exists for one purpose: to ensure commercial tea and coffee equipment never misses a beat. As a Brew Equipment Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the trusted expert customers count on—for installations that go right the first time, fast-turn repairs, and maintenance that prevents downtime.

Why This Work Matters

Picture this: a café’s brewer fails during the morning rush. You arrive, quickly diagnose the issue, swap the right parts from your stocked inventory, and record the service details so everyone stays informed. The line moves again. That’s the difference you make—every day.

Commitments of the Role

  • Core Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with participation in an after-hours/weekend on-call rotation.
  • Territory: Drive within a 100-mile radius in most markets; regional travel may be required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and remove commercial coffee and beverage dispensing systems across assigned accounts.
  • Handle scheduled PMs and site surveys as well as unscheduled/emergency service calls.
  • Maintain proper inventory of spare parts and equipment; reorder within replenishment policies.
  • Complete thorough documentation: call closure process, detailed work performed, accurate invoices, and required customer signatures.
  • Plan and carry out installation projects in coordination with team scheduling.
  • Provide timely, transparent communication to customers and internal stakeholders; relay customer requests and insights.
  • Adhere to service level agreements and prioritize tasks to meet expectations and timelines.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of mechanical/technical experience.
  • Background in foodservice is preferred.
  • Preferred familiarity with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and the use of test meters.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel within a 100+ mile radius of the branch.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly.
  • Experience balancing emergency calls, PMs, surveys, and installation work.

How You Operate

  • Professional communicator with strong customer service skills.
  • Aligned with organizational goals; quick to spot problems or opportunities.
  • Applies new knowledge in the field; mindful of impact on others.
  • Active listener; effective with customers and management.
  • Entrepreneurial—seeks out ways to grow the business.
  • Builds strong customer relationships; collaborates with peers.
  • Uses sound business judgment; decisive and self-directed.
