Break/Fix Technician

Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

This position requires a PC Service Technician to provide IT service delivery, including IMAC, Break/Fix, and deskside support. The role involves working 100% onsite to support end-users in a corporate environment. This is a long-term, multi-year contract opportunity with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT service delivery (IMAC, Break/Fix, Deskside Support) according to established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with end-users regarding expectations and service availability.
  • Perform troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades, and basic repairs on client assets.
  • Identify and address potential issues that could impact the end-user experience.
  • Strive to meet all client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Escalate issues impacting end-users or site operations to the Desktop Support Site Lead.
  • Follow predefined procedures and tasks for daily activities.
  • Perform basic installation and maintenance of technical products.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in servicing and deploying computer equipment is required, preferably within a corporate environment. Candidates must possess IT hardware support experience and a background in customer service.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of the Windows operating system environment is necessary. Candidates should be able to comprehend and follow verbal and written technical instructions.

Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is required.

Work Environment

This role requires the physical ability to lift and move hardware up to 35 pounds. The position involves standing and being on your feet for most of the day. All work is performed 100% onsite.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
