As a Maven Brand Liaison, you will receive support from our sales and marketing teams, providing you with all the tools you need to nurture relationships, grow sales, and build a successful career within our company. The ideal candidate has Cannabis industry experience and a background in general sales or customer service. This position is responsible for understanding and developing assigned territory to maximize growth by catering to existing customers and new accounts while ensuring the best experience possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule appointments and visit accounts to better understand current retail needs and visual merchandising opportunities.
  • Maintain a prioritized account list and work with the internal sales department to understand accounts growth potential.
  • Create a weekly schedule of accounts to focus on based on a prioritized account list.
  • Maintain a daily sheet with account notes and requests.
  • Visit accounts regularly to measure brand awareness, employee education, price points, current inventory, and general desires.
  • Collaborate with our account management team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Work with sales team to support shops and participate in Brand Demos and Takeovers.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge on our entire product catalog as well as the latest trends in the cannabis industry.
  • Take Photos of current retail display and promotional needs and catalog in Employee Sheet.
  • Analyze and execute retail promotional campaigns to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Support Marketing and sales executives in organizing various projects.
  • Set up meetings with dispensary purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and social media outreach in efforts to generate leads.
  • Use a customer-focused, consultative sales process to educate prospects on what products will best fit their needs.
  • Host demos to increase sales in each account.
  • Follow-up with prospective accounts.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Relay feedback from customers to the marketing, product, and account management teams regularly.
  • Maintain customer databases and ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Good understanding of sales, customer service, and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and database
  • Creative and outside-of-the-box thinker
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to pivot and adjust quickly to schedule changes and creative direction
  • A combination of mental flexibility, analytical skills, creativity, conceptual ability, and judgment: someone who deals effectively with strategic issues as well as the detailed tactical activity involved in evolving a marketing practice.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a field sales position.
  • Prior experience in the California cannabis industry is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy, building new business, and meeting/exceeding quotas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient technical skills, including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software.
  • Well Organized, Determined, Motivated, and Driven.
