Bank of Bird-in-Hand is actively seeking a Branch Support Specialist to join our team in Paradise. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality operational support to the branch network. This role serves as a primary resource for branch personnel by responding to inquiries, resolving operational issues, and ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform day two balancing and reconciliation of cash and transaction activity.
  • Prepare and process overdraft and charge off correspondence.
  • Monitor and review daily operational reports, including overdraft reports, over/short reports, and general ledger activity.
  • Support Branch Operations by managing Synapsys Service Events and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Document operational errors, maintain tracking logs, and distribute weekly reporting to designated departments.
  • Provide responsive support to branch personnel via phone and email, ensuring timely and accurate guidance.
  • Coordinate branch cash orders through FedLine Web in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate in new employee orientation and ongoing training initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with Branch Operations Administrators to conduct system testing in both UAT and production environments.
  • Manage counterfeit currency submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee settlement processes for remote ATM.
  • Assist with departmental projects and process improvement efforts as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain departmental mailboxes to ensure timely follow up and task completion.
  • Review, recommend, and update operational procedures to align with bank policy and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with business units to understand operational needs and deliver effective service solutions.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls to support operational integrity and risk mitigation.
  • Review all new accounts to confirm completeness of required documentation. Identify and track error/issues to manager as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Jack Henry systems preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and applicable banking regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively explain processes and provide training to others.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions with limited supervision and within time sensitive environments.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely explain and instruct tasks to team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years of direct related experience within a financial institution, preferably within a branch network.
