The LHH is seeking a Branch Operations Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a distribution client located in the Dayton, OH area. This is an opportunity to lead a high-visibility location within a stable and growing organization known for strong customer relationships and operational excellence. The position offers the chance to build and develop a high-performing team while driving revenue growth and continuously improving Branch operations in a competitive market. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $130-150K per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily Branch operations including sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service functions

  • Drive Branch performance through effective leadership, accountability, and operational execution

  • Manage full P&L responsibility including revenue, margins, expenses, and profitability

  • Develop and execute Branch-level growth strategies to increase market share and revenue

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and local partners

  • Partner with sales teams to develop pipeline and achieve revenue targets

  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance outcomes

  • Lead inventory management efforts including accuracy, levels, and replenishment planning

  • Ensure efficient coordination between purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams

  • Hire, train, and develop employees to build a high-performing and engaged workforce

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures

  • Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and service levels

  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and resolve escalated service issues

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management is preferred

  • NON-NEGOTIABLE: Minimum of 5+ years of operational leadership experience within the building materials/building supply industries is required

  • Must have experience working within homebuilder/contractor-driven sales environments

  • Must have the ability to manage full P&L and drive Branch profitability

  • Must have experience leading cross-functional teams across sales, warehouse, and customer service

  • Ideal candidates will have experience managing inventory and supply chain processes

  • Ideal candidates will have the ability to develop and execute growth strategies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills required

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and improvement

  • Positive attitude with strong accountability and ownership mindset

  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
