Responsibilities:
  • Projects a positive image of the Company and colleagues at client negotiations, conferences, technical meetings, and within the office
  • Signs letters, proposals, and reports bearing professional stamp (if applicable) and assumes responsibility in the name of the Company
  • Responsible for work assigned to the Branch regarding professional liability and contractual obligations.  All technical work must be conducted so that the standard of care is met
  • Provides guidance, training, and instruction to subordinates in regulatory, technical, and administrative aspects of environmental, geotechnical, or construction materials testing consulting
  • Responsible for project financials, proposals, and resource allocation/utilization
  • Leads people management, career development, and overall office culture in accordance with UES vision.
  • Directs the execution of business development efforts, Pursue new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client relationships. Plans Branch strategy in conjunction with Group Managers to meet Company goals
  • Manage branch budgets, forecasts, hiring, and staff development.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in consulting engineering roles involving Geotechnical or CMT projects
  • Professional Engineering License required or can be obtained within 6 months

Preferred Experience:

  • Must have thorough knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering or Materials Testing services consulting business
  • Consulting Engineering business acumen including P/L responsibilities
  • Active membership in professional and civic organizations
