Description
Boulder County Community Services Department is seeking to hire 2 (two) Boulder County Head Start Teachers. The Head Start Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for children ages 3-5 years. The teacher works in partnership with families, staff, and community partners to promote childrens school readiness by fostering their cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development in alignment with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:15pm. This position will work out of either 2850 Mapleton Ave, Boulder, or 2802 Dagny Way, Lafayette. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $55,116.00 - $67,254.00 Annually
Tentative Hiring Timeline:

This position may receive paid breaks (summer/ fall/ winter/ spring) that closely align with the BVSD school district calendar.

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Head Start experience
Experience with TS Gold and Creative Curriculum

Please describe how you meet the requirement of an associates degree (AA) in early childhood education, or an AA in a field related to early childhood education and coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education (30 credits), with experience teaching preschool-age children. In addition, candidates with a CDA in early childhood education who are working towards or willing to work towards obtaining an AA in early childhood education, child development, or in a related field with course work equivalent to a major (30 credits) relating to early childhood education within three years of hire are also eligible for this position (required).
