Step into the heart of production at Buffalo Trace Distillery (Sazerac)

Picture your day starting with a walk across the bottling floor—equipment humming, teams aligned, schedules set. As the Bottling Line Operations Supervisor, you orchestrate people, processes, and performance so every bottle leaves the line right the first time, safely, on schedule, and on budget.

What you’ll do day-to-day

  • Own the execution of assigned bottling lines to meet daily and weekly plans while upholding safety, product quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Track and improve KPIs including OEE, downtime, yields, and throughput; act on real-time data to remove bottlenecks and sustain flow.
  • Lead line start-ups and changeovers; support new product or packaging introductions and continuous improvement events.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to resolve issues quickly and drive long-term fixes.

How you’ll lead

  • Coach, direct, and develop a team of hourly associates for engagement, safety, and results.
  • Build an inclusive, recognition-rich culture through regular feedback and performance development.
  • Coordinate schedules, attendance, reviews, and corrective actions in partnership with HR and site leadership.

Safety, compliance, and quality

  • Champion a zero-incident mindset: enforce OSHA and company policies, conduct safety talks and audits, and investigate incidents.
  • Ensure conformity to OSHA, FDA, TTB, and internal food safety programs; execute GMPs and sanitation requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA on root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence; complete documentation accurately and on time.
  • Support audits, inspections, and customer or regulatory evaluations.

Systems and documentation

  • Use ERP and production software to capture metrics, manage workflow, and maintain logs and reports.
  • Leverage digital tools to visualize trends and guide decisions.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; confident interfacing at all organizational levels.
  • Strength in problem solving, prioritization, and time management within a fast-paced setting.
  • Foundational exposure to manufacturing or production (coursework, internships, or related experience).
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ERP or production software familiarity is a plus.

Preferred

  • Internship/co-op or academic project experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methods.
  • Familiarity with food/beverage production, packaging, or quality control standards.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and TTB requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in supervising teams.

Physical and work environment

  • Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Work an 8-hour shift with overtime as needed.
  • Comfort operating in loud, wet, humid conditions around moving mechanical parts.
  • High attention to detail and quality.

Why join Sazerac

  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits starting Day One.
  • 401(k) with immediate company match.
  • Flexible time off, holidays, and parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunities.
  • Wellness programs and mental health resources.
  • Branded gear, team events, and an employee bottle purchase program.
  • Robust learning and development pathways.

Compensation: $70,687 - $106,031. Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.

Open shifts: 2nd (2:30pm–11:00pm) and 3rd (10:30pm–7:00am)
