PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:
Provide staff coverage for the program after business hours, weekends, holidays, inclement weather, and on an as-needed basis to ensure 24/7 operation of the residential facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Provide care and supervision for all program residents and their children.
2. Enforce program rules for the residents according to the program handbook and be an example of handbook compliance for the program residents.
3. Respond appropriately in emergency situations by contacting the on-call person for assistance.
4. Supervise the preparation of evening and weekend meals, and chores/clean up.
5. Coordinate transportation services for residents during non-regular business hours.
6. Maintain security of the program facility after hours and on weekends.
7. Assist residents in self-administering their medications as prescribed and document it in the medical chart.
8. Provide childcare when residents are engaged in programmatic activities on and off the program site.
9. Administer urine screens when residents return from appointments/passes/hospital.
10. Complete phone intakes for potential residents and transfer to the admissions coordinator in a timely manner.
11. Be available on an as-needed basis to provide essential 24/7 coverage for the residential facility.
12. Be available in cases of inclement weather to extend the duration of your shift until you can be relieved (as soon as possible) in order to provide supervision, safety, and care to residents and their children.
13. Maintain current program and agency training.
14. Maintaining confidentiality of all treatment issues.
15. All other duties as assigned by the Program Director/Senior Peer Support Specialist.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health disorders is desirable.

1. Ability to relate compassionately, non-judgmentally, and professionally to a wide variety of people.
2. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
3. Ability to provide information to clinical staff.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Excellent phone skills.
6. Ability to follow directions but also make sound independent decisions.
7. Ability to maintain and enforce healthy boundaries with program clients by enforcing program rules firmly and gently.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATONS:
1. Valid Mississippi Driver’s license and driving record that will not incur increased insurance rates.
