Job Summary
We are seeking a talented professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, highly organized,  has a strong understanding of accounting/bookeeping in the Construction Industry. In this diversified role, the following responsibilities are included:
Responsibilities 
  • Enter financial data and transactions
  • Provide financial reporting and maintain accurate records
  • Coordination with Project Management to invoice current projects
  • Process all accounts receivable transactions
  • Verify the accuracy of transactions which have been entered
  • Prepare trial balance 
  • Analyze budgets and other financial information
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Receipt of Client payments and allocation of receipts to appropriate projects
  • Process Field Payroll for Union members. Remittance of Union Stamps via IRemit
  • Safeguard the accuracy of the General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Financial Reports in our Accounting System

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is a plus
  • Experience in the Construction Industry is a major asset
  • Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles 
  • Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, and basic accounting systems
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
