We are seeking a full time accountant and bookkeeper to join our team! HTM Contractors, Inc. is a leader in the residential and commercial market in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are a diversified service contractor that specializes in tree service, junk removal, roll-off dumpster rental, environmental cleaning, and street sweeping, and our team members take great pride in the work we do.

Pay & Schedule:

  • $30/hour starting
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM
  • Weekly Pay

The Work:

  • Collaborate and communicate with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Prepare progress billings in a timely manner after the period's or segment's scope of work is completed. Coordinate each billing submission to the client with the appropriate division manager/supervisor.
  • Pay debts, including necessary bills, as well as suppliers, vendor invoices and credit card accounts via check, ACH payment or other payment method(s) that may be utilized by the company. Ensure that all payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Prepare the entry of credit card expense transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Obtain necessary vendor information (including W-9 tax forms) from new vendors, maintain the vendor files information and maintain the 'authorized purchasers' information (including account cards if used for the account) for all vendor accounts.
  • Prepare credit application information as requested/needed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and complete monthly & annual General Excise tax filings and make tax payments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank/credit/vendor accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Make deposits, record cash receipts and ensure the proper application of receipts in the appropriate account(s) register(s) in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that receivables >30 days old are collected in a timely manner and follow-up with collections in a timely manner as directed by management.
  • Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system and records (both physical and/or digital).
  • Prepare financial reports/schedules as requested by management
  • Provide administrative support to management when required
  • Payroll processing, as needed


Requirements:

  • College degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of bookkeeping experience;
  • Payroll experience preferred;
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Quickbooks Online Advance/Plus;
  • Project Management Software;
  • Construction Accounting experience highly desired
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail. Candidate must submit a resume including references and salary requirements.
  • Must be willing to do duties for multiple companies.
