Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and licensed 1st Grade Boiler Operator/Stationary Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring that our production equipment operates without downtime and that preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments such as rules, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE a 1st Grade Stationary Engineer License with the City of Houston.

Shift Details

Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
