Boeing Aircraft System Integration Designer/Engineer - Long Term Contract - Everett WA-1912
Our client in the Everett WA area is a Boeing supplier and has a long term contract position available working on System Integration using CATIA, Enovia along with MRB type activities. Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up calculations required. This opportunity is expected to be a long-term contract
Description
Responding to customer service questions for Boeing aircraft and responding to change orders as required.
- Produce comprehensive layouts and tolerance analysis
- Basic engineering analysis to substantiate initial layouts
- Responsible for ensuring the design of the equipment meets the applicable specification requirements including FAR and JAR
- Create and update documents using Product Data Management (PDM) system
- Participate enthusiastically in the Integrated Product Team activity
- Ensure that lessons learned are applied to new designs
- Ensure that a common design approach is followed using harmonized standards
- Liaise with external customers/suppliers in addition to communicating internally with various departments including Quality, Product Support, Manufacturing, etc.
- Occasionally work offsite at customer/partner facilities if required.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in aircraft design and/or integration
- Experience in MRB Engineering is a benefit
- Must be familiar with various aspects of design of aircrafts; mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and components
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ASME Y.14.5M-1994
- Proven ability to create complex tolerance stack-ups and comprehensive design layouts
- Proven capability in the use of CATIA V5, solid modeling, kinematics and 3D FT&A layouts. Must be proficient with Detail and Assembly Model Based Definition Drawings
- Experience in ENOVIA is highly recommended
- Experience with reducing Cost or improving Manufacturability is a benefit
- Excellent English written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office required
- Detail and results oriented with a well-developed problem solving ability
