We are currently looking for a motivated professional to step into a Body Shop Manager role to ensure our high standards of accuracy and efficiency are met every day.
Barber Ford is seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to join our team in Holland. This is a critical role that oversees all daily operations of the department. This position is responsible for driving departmental profitability, managing production workflow while ensuring the highest standards of repair quality, maintaining excellent customer service standards and leading a team of administrative, technicians, and painters.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation and deep understanding of automotive body collision repair, estimating and insurance, financial & business acumen, compliance and overall dealership operations.
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Thursday 8AM-5PM)
No Saturday and Sundays. Work Requirements: Active Driver's License is a requirement. Ability to commute to Holland, MI. Ability to pass pre-employment testing. Previous experience in collision repair, estimating and management role.
Operations & Production: Manage the repair schedule, ensuring vehicles are completed efficiently while minimizing cycle times and comebacks.
Estimating & Insurance: Create accurate repair estimates and coordinate directly with insurance adjusters and financial services to process claims and secure supplements.
Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the performance of administrative staff, body technicians and painters.
Customer Service: Build and maintain relationships with customers, handle complaints, and ensure high quality levels of vehicle repair & restoration and satisfaction according to Barber Ford and OEM standards.
Communication: Act as the primary liaison between customers, insurance companies, and repair technicians.
Compliance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations, adhering to company PPE standards, EPA and state environmental laws for hazardous waste, maintaining OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repair standards, and accurately documenting all insurance and billing records.
Experience: Prior experience in an automotive collision management position with in-depth industry knowledge, technical proficiency and completion of industry related certifications. I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference and Auto Collision Repair), ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
Leadership Skills: Experience leading a collision repair team, optimizing workflow efficiency and ensuring high quality standards. Must possess the ability to motivate team, set performance and productivity standards, communicate effectively and make strategic decisions while in alignment daily with the Barber Ford Core Values:

Technical Skills: Proficiency and understanding of automotive systems, structural/nonstructural repairs, paint finishes, and DRP (Direct Repair Program). Knowledge of dealership estimating software and advanced vehicle materials and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Tekion experience a plus. Attention to Detail: High organizational and effective communication skills, attention to detail, accurately manage documentation and adhere to strict deadlines.
