Job Title

Essential duties include cleaning the service and customer areas, performing routine building maintenance to minimize interruptions, and washing windows, glass doors, and glass panels throughout the body shop area. The role also involves mopping and cleaning the service waiting area, offices, technicians' locker room and lunch room, halls, and shop bathroom. Sweeping technician stalls, body shop floors, showroom, halls, and vending areas, and cleaning all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines are part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the job entails cleaning bathrooms and restocking paper supplies as needed, cleaning the driveway, parking area, sidewalks, and debris as necessary, emptying and cleaning the lunchroom refrigerator once a week, and cleaning all body shop power equipment. The position also requires emptying and cleaning all trash receptacles, inside and outside, and removing all debris from the lot. Furthermore, it includes cleaning oil storage tanks according to procedures and draining and disposing of used oil filters properly. The role involves removing old scrap parts from the body shop after checking with the parts manager and returning cores to the storage area. Assisting technicians with oil and water spills and emptying drain tubs, and running errands as directed by the foreman are also duties. Understanding and complying with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations, as well as using proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection, are essential. Other duties may be assigned.
