The Body & Paint Technician assists the collision center team with vehicle repairs, paint preparation, cosmetic restoration, and shop support functions. This position is ideal for someone interested in furthering a career in automotive collision repair and refinishing while learning hands-on skills in a professional shop environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to growing technical automotive repair skills.
Work alongside other body technicians and painters with vehicle repair and refinishing processes
Perform sanding, masking, buffing, and paint preparation work
Support body repairs and cosmetic touch-ups
Prepare vehicles and parts for paint and refinishing
Maintain clean and organized work space, tools, and equipment
Follow manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards
Assist with moving vehicles and maintaining shop flow
Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Automotive or technical school experience is a plus
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Prior shop or automotive experience preferred but not required
Familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Interest in pursuing collision repair certifications
Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shop for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Comfortable working around paint products, tools, and shop equipment
