Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Emergency Service Board-Up Technician to join our emergency response team. This role involves securing properties that have been damaged by fire, flood, storms, vandalism, or accidents. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, comfortable working at heights, and capable of responding quickly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls to board up and secure residential and commercial properties
- Install temporary protective coverings over doors, windows, and other openings
- Safely use hand and power tools to perform boarding-up tasks
- Assess damage and communicate needs and next steps to team leads and clients
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and inventory of materials
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site during emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Experience with basic construction tools and safety equipment preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in construction or emergency services is a plus
- DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Experience driving trailers is a plus
