Position: Board Member (Volunteer)
Overview:
- Support an organization providing free end-of-life counseling and advance care planning services across Washington, advocating for end-of-life choices including the Death with Dignity Law.
- Help sustain efforts to protect, expand, and uphold end-of-life options and promote inclusivity for diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Gain understanding of the organization’s programs, advocacy, and financial structure.
- Stay informed about relevant issues and needs of the populations served.
- Contribute time, skills, or funds annually and help expand supporter engagement.
- Attend at least 75% of meetings and serve on committees.
- Provide consultation to leadership when needed, foster a culture of inquiry, and maintain confidentiality and conflict-of-interest policies.
