Responsibilities:

• Provide services for the pastoral and spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff members. • Be knowledgeable in theology, spirituality, and pastoral care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Certification:

• NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains)
• APC (Association of Professional Chaplains)
• NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains)

Required Education:

• A Masters Degree from an Accredited University in Theology-related fields (4 units, 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education)

Additional Requirements:

• Ecclesiastical endorsement
• Level II screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse managed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). More information can be found at https://info.flclearinghouse.com/
