Under the direction of the Manager of Inclusionary Practices, the BCBA will work with students and staff to address and create behavior improvement plans, case management, implementation of plans, and staff training.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Supervision of Behavior Techs in the District
- Case management to include: Obtaining consent, background and record review, observations, develop intervention plan, model interventions for staff, documented follow-up
- Support students and families in general and special education
- Develop, write, implement, update, and train others regarding effective BIPs
- Conduct evaluations and make recommendations related to student behavior.
- Formal and informal assessments may include, but are not limited to, a review of all documents and data; observation of the environment; observation of the student within multiple environments throughout the school day; and interviews with staff, family and any community based service providers.
- Provide consultative support to administrators and teachers. Support can include team collaboration, direct supervision of staff in behavioral intervention implementation, and support of students in small group settings (e.g., social skills groups, check in/check out) or individually
- Design and/or deliver professional development in the areas of behavior and supportive interventions for students.
- Actively support the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District's Strategic Plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst licensed in the state of WI and WI DPI-issued Special Education teaching license.
- Must maintain credentialing in compliance with BACB
- Must complete continuing education courses as outlined by the BACB
- Significant experience working with students who demonstrate significant behaviors
- Experience writing Functional Behavioral Analysis and Behavior Improvement Plans
- Experience developing and delivering professional development
- Current knowledge of educational research based practices and interventions

Terms of Employment:
- Professional Educator's standard contract with an additional 10 days required summer work at the per diem rate
