Compensation: $85,000 - $98,000 annually, annual incentive bonus, generous benefits

Position Overview

The Helm ABA is a boutique autism therapy provider focused on individualized care for each child and support for the whole family. The BCBA is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care, overseeing treatment implementation, and supporting both clients and staff to achieve meaningful outcomes. This role requires a strong commitment to clinical excellence, collaboration, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in socially valid ABA interventions, effective team leadership, and family-centered service delivery.

Treatment Planning & Clinical Programming

Develop individualized, socially valid treatment plans with behaviorally defined, measurable
goals
Align programming with standardized assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland-3,
SSIS)
Ensure treatment plans include clear mastery criteria, generalization strategies, and
fading/maintenance procedures
Balance skill acquisition programming with behavior reduction goals
Continuously update and modify treatment plans based on client data and progress
Ensure programming reflects caregiver priorities and meaningful client outcomes
Maintain clinical integrity and consistency across all assigned cases

Authorization Compliance & Timely Documentation

Complete treatment plans, reauthorizations, and supporting documentation within required
timelines
Utilize data analysis, graphing, and clinical justification to support medical necessity
Maintain documentation in alignment with payer requirements and organizational standards
Ensure all clinical records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready
Prevent lapses in service due to documentation delays
Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient authorization processes


Supervision, Coaching & Staff Development

Provide ongoing supervision to RBTs using Behavior Skills Training (BST)
Conduct direct observation and in-session coaching to ensure fidelity of implementation
Perform fidelity checks and provide corrective guidance as needed
Develop RBT clinical reasoning, independence, and problem-solving skills
Ensure consistent and accurate implementation of treatment protocols across staff
Adjust supervision approaches based on individual RBT performance and development needs


Performance Feedback & Quality Assurance for RBTs

Deliver immediate, behavior-specific, and actionable feedback to RBTs
Use direct observation and client data to inform feedback
Reinforce correct implementation and address performance gaps effectively
Provide clear expectations and follow-up to ensure sustained improvement
Monitor RBT performance trends and address recurring concerns proactively
Maintain quality assurance through ongoing observation, coaching, and performance monitoring


Caregiver Training & Generalization Outcomes

Conduct caregiver training using Behavior Skills Training (BST): instruction, modeling, rehearsal,
and feedback
Develop functional caregiver goals aligned with family priorities and needs
Promote generalization of skills across environments, caregivers, and daily routines
Monitor, document, and support caregiver competency over time
Ensure caregivers are equipped to independently implement behavior-analytic strategies
Maintain consistency, structure, and effectiveness in all parent training efforts


Leadership, Collaboration & Clinical Initiative

Model The Helm ABA's core values, professionalism, and clinical integrity
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical team members
Contribute to a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented clinical environment
Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and problem-solving
Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (e.g., SLPs, OTs, schools) as appropriate
Identify and contribute to improvements in clinical and operational processes
Demonstrate initiative beyond individual caseload responsibilities
Support team development and contribute to organizational success


Required Skills and Qualifications

Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB
Active Texas licensure (or eligibility)
Minimum of 1 year of BCBA experience required
Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
Demonstrates adaptability, problem-solving, and collaboration

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit, kneel, bend, and work at a child's level for extended periods
Ability to actively engage in play and respond to behavioral crises as needed

Position Details:

  • Full-time, salaried role range $85,000-$98,000 depending on experience
