Position/Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst Reports to: Director of Special Education and Building Principal

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/ Illinois Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA)
  2. Successful experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within the previous three years.
  3. Strong instructional, organizational and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities: The BCBA will provide clinical expertise to support students with significant behavioral needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional disabilities, and developmental delays, and students requiring Multi-Tiered Supports for social emotional needs. This role focuses on building capacity within the classroom by conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and coaching staff to ensure students can access their education in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

Duties:

  1. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to assist the team in developing data driven individualized Behavior Intervention Plans.
  2. Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that align with IEP goals.
  3. Assist in the implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans.
  4. Collect and summarize behavior data for the purpose of assessing and monitoring student progress with visual data tracking (graphs) to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
  5. Actively participate on various educational teams to support proactive and responsive behavioral interventions to support students with challenging behaviors.
  6. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure team understating of student behavioral performance strengths and needs, through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery.
  7. Provide modeling and feedback to educational staff in the implementation of evidence based behavioral and instructional practices.
  8. Provide or assist in professional development training to educational staff, parents, or community on evidence-based behavior management strategies and other topics as needed.
  9. Support the districts crisis team (e.g., CPI or Safety-Care) and assist in debriefing after significant behavioral incidents.
  10. Prepares timely and accurate reports and data including Medicaid.
  11. Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data.
  12. Participate in building or program activities and meetings as appropriate.
  13. Demonstrates confidentiality in relationships.

Salary: Starting rate of $55,000 Benefits: IMRF Pension
