Job Title: Contract SEO Blog Writer (Commercial Fitness Industry)
About the Client and RoleOur client, a top health and fitness brand in the commercial fitness equipment space, is seeking an experienced SEO Blog Writer to produce long-form, search-optimized articles based on detailed content briefs. The writer will translate topic outlines, keyword targets, and competitive insights into clear, operator-focused content, while sourcing supporting visuals from the client's digital asset library.
Responsibilities
- Write 1,400-2,200 word SEO blog articles based on provided briefs, outlines, and keyword hitlists.
- Incorporate on-page SEO best practices (headings, meta structure, internal links, anchor text, etc.) while maintaining a clear, professional tone tailored to B2B audiences.
- Conduct light industry and competitor research to add credible insights, examples, and relevant keyword variations.
- Source and recommend supporting images or video from the client's digital asset management (DAM) system to align with each article.
- Follow brand voice, formatting, style, and citation guidelines, including consistent use of headers, bullets, and internal links.
- Collaborate with the client's marketing stakeholders on revisions, optimizations, and periodic content refreshes as needed.
Engagement Details
- Contract, fully remote (U.S.-based preferred).
- Duration: 9 months, with potential to extend based on performance and pipeline.
- Hours: Approximately 10-20 per week.
- Volume: Initial backlog of multiple briefs, followed by an estimated 1-4 articles per month depending on pipeline.
- All content briefs, SEO guidelines, and brand resources will be provided by the client.
- Pay range $35-55/hr depending on experience
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an SEO content writer, blog writer, or copywriter.
- Proven ability to write structured, long-form content (1,500-2,000+ words) from detailed briefs and keyword plans.
- Strong understanding of keyword intent, readability, and on-page SEO best practices.
- Experience writing for B2B audiences; familiarity with commercial fitness, wellness, or equipment/industrial topics is a plus.
- Ability to adapt writing style to align with an established brand voice and global marketing standards.
- Comfortable working with marketing stakeholders for feedback, editing, and approvals.The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $35-55 per hour.
