Biomedical Engineer Technician l / NSUH

Identifies
and repairs medical equipment problems.

• Inspects
  patient care equipment regularly to determine proper functioning and to
  identify early signs of possible malfunction in order to remedy problems before
  equipment becomes hazardous or unusable.

• Works
  with hospital staff to exchange information regarding equipment functioning. 
  Explains operation, obtains detailed descriptions of equipment failure, etc.

• Communicates with
  equipment manufacturers to obtain operating manuals and replacement parts and to receive
  technical assistance.

• Performs
  related duties, as required.

    High
    School Diploma or equivalent, required.  Knowledge
    of Electronic principles, Advanced
    Mathematics and Basic Medical Sciences as normally acquired
