Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Biology or related natural or environmental science field. One year of professional experience in environmental monitoring or natural resource regulation and management is required. Must possess a Driver license. Must possess a SCUBA diving certification.

This is an advanced technical and professional biology position in the conservation and management of terrestrial and aquatic biological resources with supervisory responsibility. The primary focus will be to lead data management and analysis efforts associated with various water quality monitoring activities and investigations and benthic and upland habitat restoration and monitoring. This position requires direct supervision of biologists engaged in conducting qualitative and quantitative biological assessments, including training, reviewing written work, and overseeing field activities. Incumbents typically conduct routine monitoring activities of biological resources as well as periodic special sampling activities, investigate public complaints, conduct field investigations, support restoration project implementation and monitoring and conduct tests for violation of county pollution control ordinances. This position analyzes environmental data using statistical software packages, including Excel and R, and draws inferences from data analyses. This position also authors and reviews report on spatiotemporal trends in environmental data.
